Annie Kennedy Jones
Annie Kennedy Jones, 90, of Baton Rouge, La., died July 7, 2002, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
Services were 11 a.m. today at Foster Road Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. Graveside services are 2 p.m. today at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, with the Rev. Huey Moak officiating. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East in Baton Rouge is in charge of arrangements. Catchings Funeral Home in McComb is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Jones was a native of McComb. She was the daughter of John Hunter and Mary Helen Quinn [sic Quin] Kennedy.
She was retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, where she was a teacher for 25 years. She was a member of Foster Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur J. Jones; six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Jones Sams and Mary Helen Jones, both of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Steven L. Sams of Baton Rouge, Donald R. Sams Jr. of Baker, La., and Glenn A. Sams of El Dorado, Ark.; four great-grandchildren, Melody Brooke Sams of El Dorado, and Kendal Lauren Sams, David Warren Sams and Abigail Taylor Sams, all of Baton Rouge; and one brother, David Kennedy of Slidell, La.
Pallbearers are grandsons and nephews, Joseph Packwood and Patrick Kennedy.
