Mrs. Annie W Taunton interred in Jena Sunday

The funeral of Mrs. Annie West Taunton, 76, of Jonesville, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Lake Lilly Baptist Church with the Revs. Frankie Bass and Lester Johnson officiating.

Burial was in Woodland cemetery in Jena under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Jonesville.

Mrs. Taunton died Saturday in Catahoula Parish Hospital after a brief illness.

Survivors include her husband, Oliver Taunton of Jonesville; two sons, Tollie Taunton and J. B. Taunton, both of Jonesville; three brothers, Bill West, of Bastrop, Clerman West and Orvel West, both of Oak Grove; a sister, Mrs. Eva Edwards, of Coushatta; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Maxie Taunton, Sammy Taunton, Don Taunton, Ricky Payne, Wince Morris Jr., and Ralph Nolan.
