ALFIERI, ANTHONY J.
Died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. He was a resident of 7125 Jefferson Hwy., 54 years old and a native of Astoria, Long Island City, N.Y. He was an employe of Humble Oil & Refining Co., a resident of Baton Rouge for the past 23 years and a veteran of World War II.
Body at Welsh Funeral Home before shipping by air to the N. Morisco & Sons Funeral Home at 2528 Broadway, Long Island City, N.Y. A Requiem High Mass will be said at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Astoria at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Long Island City.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl Dunn Alfieri of Baton Rouge, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Sansotta and Mrs. Theresa Scerbo, both of Astoria, and Mrs. Josephine Giurici of Montauk, Long Island City.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and Nicholson Post No. 38 of the American Legion.
