Anthony C. McDonald

Anthony Culbert McDonald, 83, died in a local clinic October 4, 1963. Born on September 23, 1880, Mr. McDonald was a merchant and clerk in a grocery store and a member of Norris Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. October 5, at Norris Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Blair, Meredith Hair and Carlton Vance officiating. Interment followed in Holly Grove Cemetery near Wisner.

Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Crowell McDonald, Wisner; three sons, Culbert McDonald, Wisner, Woodrow McDonald, Baton Rouge, Stanley McDonald, Ft. Worth, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Phillips, Ft. Worth, Mrs. Marjorie Jones, France; 13 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lola Humble, Wisner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
