GREENWOOD -- Archie R. Emmons, 72, retired salesman for Farmers Supply Cooperative after 29 years, died Wednesday at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with burial in Bethel Cemetery in Holcomb.
He was a member of Church of Christ in Greenwood, Greenwood Masonic Lodge and a World War II Army veteran. Emmons, the husband of Inez Cutts Emmons, also leaves a stepson, Billy R. Ainsworth of Sidon; a sister, Mrs. Arlgree Whitten of Cascilla; a brother, Blanton Emmons of Bessemer, Ala, two stepgrandsons and a stepgreat-grandson.
