Arabella Bruce Nichols

Funeral services for Arabella Bruce Nichols, 73, of Winnsboro will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 in the chapel of Young's Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating.

Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Nichols was born of March 29, 1932 in Winnsboro and died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005 at St. Francis North in Monroe after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Winnsboro and homemaker. She was a member of the Pentecostal faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; one sister; three children, Donald Ray, Robert Lee and Margaret Ann Nichols.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, J. C. Nichols of Winnsboro; five sons and daughters-in-law, James Nichols and Glenda, Charles Nichols and Barbara, Sidney Nichols and Patsy, Joe Cecil Nichols, Alan Dale Nichols and Patty, all of Winnsboro; one daughter, Pamela Fay Nichols of Monroe; two sisters-in-law and husband, Mary Robinson and George of Baskin; Irma Burge of Winnsboro; one brother, Cobb Comeaux of Ferriday; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons; Clay Nichols, Christopher Nichols, Daniel Nichols, Joshua Nichols, Sherman Nichols, Keith Price, T. J. Free, Kevin Lachney, Tyson Havard, Peyton Bonner, all of Winnsboro.

Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Triston Jachob Free, Philip Bailey, Cody Greer, Jacob Greer, Calebe Robbins, Chase Robbins, Tyler Nichols, Dustin McMurray, Bobby McMurray, Alan Denon Nichols of Winnsboro.
