Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 25, for Arthur Alsop Moore, 78, of Ft. Necessity. Services were held at 2 p.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Fort Necessity, with the Rev. Daniel Corkery officiating.
Interment was held in the Fort Necessity Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Moore, a life-long resident of Fort Necessity was a retired farmer, a veteran of W.W.I and a member of the V.F.W.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lessie McCarty Moore, Fort Necessity; one son, Dr. Harold Moore, Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Johns, Homer and Mrs. Francis Price, Big Spring, Tex.; two step-sons, Billy Collins, Baton Rouge; Johnny Collins, Baton Rouge; five step-daughters, Mrs. Mary Lyvonne Clarkson, Delhi; Mrs. Elsie Worthen, Mansfield; Mrs. Willie Earl McNamor, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Patsy Miller, Jacksonville, N.C.; Mrs. Shirley Shelby, Taylorsville, Miss.; and a number of grandchildren.
