Arthur S. Carter, 70, of Rt. 1,
Greenville, died today at General
Hospital after an illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday from the chapel of
National Funeral Home. The Rev.
Cecil Clegg will officiate. Burial will
be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery.
National Funeral Home of Greenville
has charge.
Mr. Carter was born in Amite County
and lived in Lake Providence, La. before
moving to Greenville 16 years ago.
Before his retirement 7 years ago he was
employed by Delta Dredging Co. as a
dredging engineer.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lillian
Banks Carter of Greenville; two
sisters, Mrs. Daisy Wagley of Oak
Grove, La. and Mrs. Eula Hall of
Baton Rouge, La.
