DUBY

Arthur Louis Duby of Rainier, died on May 6, 1993 at the age of 67 years.

He was born at Rainier and attended Olds School of Agriculture graduating with honors and returned to the district in 1952 to farm.

He enjoyed playing baseball, curling and fishing.

He was a member of the Vauxhall Legion.

Surviving are his wife Audrey of Rainier; four daughters, Joyce (Ron) Clarke of Calgary, Joanne (Randy) Anderson of Brooks, Linda (Del) McCaulay of Rainier and Lorrie (Don) Sandau of Rainier; two sons Ed (Margaret) Duby of Ottawa and Craig (Vicki) Duby of Calgary; 11 grandchildren; his parents Phil and Thelma Duby of Brooks; four brothers Jim of Brooks, Harold of Salmon Arm, B.C., Forrest of Youngstown and Ron (Peggy) of Edmonton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held on Monday, May 10 at 2 p.m. in Smith's Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Jakob Pillibeit officiating. Interment followed in the Rainier Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Lawrence Johnson, Jim Graham, Fred Mandeville and Wally Strawsell. Active pallbearers were John Ledene, Kevin Ledene, George Hofmann, George Graham, Mike Graham and Chris Schmidt.

If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Brooks Health Centre Memorial Fund. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
