Arthur McDaniel

COLUMBIA -- Services for Arthur McDaniel were held at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel Thursday. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. He died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at his home following an apparent heart attack.

Elder McDaniel was a high priest in the local Church of Jesus Christ of Lat[t]er Day Saints. He was born in Covington County and had lived in Columbia for the past 25 years. He was also a construction builder.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosie Lee Sartin McDaniel; three sons, Clifton Ray, Foxworth, Charles and James Glen, both of Long Beach; four daughters, Mrs. Larry Speights, Hattiesburg, Mrs. Sie Pendelton, Jackson, Mrs. Clayton Dunaway and Mrs. Dennis Robertson, both of Columbia; three brothers, Elder Bardie McDaniel, Herman and Atha McDaniel, all of Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. Vinnetta Little, Columbia, Mrs. Pauline Jones, Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Elsie Hennesy, New Orleans; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
