WIESE, ARTHUR R.

A retired Schuylkill Metals Corp. supervisor with 35 years of service, he died Tuesday, April 1, 1997, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 77 and a native of Peru, Ill. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in Gen. Patton's battalion. Visiting was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel 10 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Cecil L. Winn. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Wiese Williams and Lloyd Williams, Baton Rouge; a stepson, Bobby Duncan, Baton Rouge; a sister, Viola Iattoni, Ladd, Ill.; two brothers, Grover Wiese, Spring Valley, Ill., and William Wiese, Delray Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jeffery Ryan Wiese and David L. Williams, both of Baton Rouge, and Sheri L. Williams, Houston; and three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Conner and Taylor Williams.

Preceded in death by wife of 40 years, Elsie Langley Wiese; and two brothers, Johnny and Melvin Wiese.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery and David Williams, David Glover, Dickie Sullivan, David Wendt, Frank Newchurch and Donald Pipes.
