Funeral services for Artie Mae Jeansonne will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2005 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Paul Nugent and Jose Vattakunnel officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Jeansonne, 75, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Monday, December 19, 2005 in her residence. She was born on October 14, 1930 to the union of Bill and Sally Maricle Monk in Oakdale. She was an accountant serving the public for many years, and a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee ``Jac'' Jeansonne, father and mother, Bill and Sally Monk, and one sister, Judy Bryant.
She leaves behind those to cherish her memories, but mourn her earthly presence, five sons, Carl and wife, Amie Jeansonne of Houston, Texas, James and wife, Susan Jeansonne of Alexandria, Elton Jeansonne of Oakdale, Eric and wife, Debbie Jeansonne of Oakdale, and Art Ray and wife, Angela Jeansonne of Oakdale; one daughter, Sandy and husband, Marc Strother of Oakdale; four brothers, David Monk, Fred Monk and Willie Monk all of Oakdale, and L. B. Monk of Texas; five sisters, Charity Monk, Mary Lee Roddy and Nellie Jordan all of Oakdale, Linda Nugent of DeQuincy, and Dorothy Clover of Alexandria.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Joel Jeansonne, Chad Jeansonne, Justin Jeansonne, Santana Jeansonne, Maranda Melder, Cori Wells, Taylor Jeansonne, Sidney Jeansonne and Thomas LaCaze, along with ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Carl Jeansonne, Amie Jeansonne, James Jeansonne, Elton Jeansonne, Eric Jeansonne and Art Ray Jeansonne. Honorary pallbearers honored to serve will be Taylor Jeansonne and Marc Strother.
Visitation will be observed by her family and friends until time of service in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel.
