FERRIDAY -- Asberry Nathaniel Beasley, 82, died at a local hospital Wednesday night following a short illness.
A resident of Tensas parish since 1916, he was a farmer and had been in the lumber business.
He was a member of the Tensas First Baptist Church near Waterproof.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Tensas Baptist Church with the Rev. J. C. Hooper officiating.
Burial will be in the family cemetery near Waterproof under the direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Beasley, Waterproof; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Keyes, Waterproof, and Mrs. Willis Keyes, Waterproof; two sons, Elton, Shreveport, and Darl, Winnsboro, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Prycer, Tempton, Tex.; one brother, Hill, Big Sand, Tex.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Robert Chapman, North East, Pa.; one step-son, Tech Sgt. Thomas M. Chevallier, San Antonio, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Loyal Louer, Jack Powell, Johnny Blalack, W. P. __es, Dave Duncan, and Loy Powell.
