Funeral Services Held For Victim Of Caldwell Crash

COLUMBIA -- Funeral services for Athel L. Eubanks, 24, of Grayson, were held at 2:30 p.m. today at Old Bethel Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Tradewell and Gary Maroney officiating.

Burial was in Old Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Mills [sic Eubanks] was killed in a fiery two-car headon-collision at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday about two miles north of Columbia on U.S. 165.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Irene R. Eubanks of Grayson; three daughters, Misses Janet Lynn Eubanks, Vicki Dian Eubanks and Sheri Dian Eubanks, all of Grayson; his mother, Mrs. Harold Pentecost of Kelly; one brother, Kenneth Lee Eubanks of Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Pat Gutbier of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Darlene Perkins of Monroe and Miss Johnnye Eubanks of Kelly; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Grivette of Olla; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Susan Pentecost of Kelly.

Pallbearers will be Albert Thompson, Woody Thompson, Julius Russell, Elbert Pauley, Russell Price and Iley Evans.
