SHONGALOO, LA -- Services for O. A. (Aubrey) Hawthorne, 80, will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 1991 with the Rev. Ronnie Whitlock officiating. Burial will be in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery under the direction of Baliey [sic Bailey] Mortuary, Springhill.
Mr. Hawthorne, a native of Parhams, La. and a resident of this area for 40 years, passed away Friday, April 5, 1991 in Springhill after a long illness. He was a retired meat cutter.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Lee Hawthorne of Shongaloo; a son, Jerry Hawthorne of Jackson, Miss.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Don Allen of Lexington, Kentucky, Brenda and Lamar Tolar of Elm Grove, La.; two step-sons, James Farnell and David Farnell both of Shongaloo; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Donnie Hudnall of Benton, La., Bessie and Bill Fesler of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, 13 step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Glen Dick, Wesley Charles, Mike Hudnall, Jerry Moore, Rudy Tyler, Johnny LaCroix.
Honorary pallbearers will be J. C. Hilburn and deacons of the Mt. Paran Baptist Church.
