Services for Mr. Aubry R. Roberts, Sr., 80, of Winnsboro will be 10 AM Friday at the chapel of Community Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Marion Collier officiating.

Mr. Roberts died Tuesday, May 20, 2003 following a lengthy illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin Parish and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army Air-Corp during WWII also involved in the invasion of Southern France.

Mr. Roberts was a retired Judicial Judge with the LA Department of Public Safety where he was employed for 33 years.

He worked with all areas of organized baseball in Northeast Louisiana. He was one of the organizers of the N.E. LA Umpire Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ambrose Ransom and Bertha Belcher Roberts, five brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Geneva S. Roberts of Winnsboro, daughters and sons-in-law: Elizabeth and A.J. Burlew of Monroe, Ann and David ``BoBo'' Henry of Lafayette, son: Aubry R. ``Robbie'' Roberts, Jr. of Winnsboro, granddaughters: Damelle Henry and Jessica Henry of Houston, TX, Joy Henry of Corpus Christi, TX, Julie and William Wyatt of Bossier City, grandson: John and Johnnie Burlew of Monroe, great granddaughters: Aubrey Ann Robinson, Sarah Elizabeth Wyatt and McKenna Williams brothers: Ray and Marie Roberts of Wisner, Harry and Sue Roberts of West Monroe.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Buddy Coghlan, Alan Ray Bozeman, Dennis Parker, Dr. David Anders, Sam Corrinth and Danny Ray Moore.

Friends may call on Thursday after 5 PM until 8 PM and on Friday after 9 AM until time of service for visitations.
