Resident, 67, Succumbs to Long Illness

Audie J. Culpepper, 67, of 2950 Regent St., died Tuesday in the Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Culpepper lived in Shreveport for 45 years, and was a native of Jonesboro. He was a retired refrigeration service engineer and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ludie G. Culpepper, and one son, J. H. Culpepper, both of Shreveport; three brothers, M. T. Culpepper of Jonesboro, W. S. Culpepper of Columbus, Mo. and E. H. Culpepper of Silver Springs, Md.; five sisters, Mrs. H. P. McBride, Mrs. Neil Rushing and Mrs. E. D. McBride, all of Jonesboro, Mrs. R. E. Wright of Ruston and Mrs. Otis Warren of El Dorado, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Merritt, pastor of Ingleside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Centuries Park.
