AUDIE LEE WARD CALLIHAN

COVINGTON - Audie Lee Ward Callihan of Covington, wife of the late William Bentley Callihan, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001. She was 99.

A native of Sandersville, Miss., she had lived in Covington for the past 79 years.

Survivors include her children, Mary Louise West of Hammond, Betty Ruth Esquinance of Mandeville, Clarence L. Callihan of Lake Charles, and Douglas E. Callihan of Richardson, Texas. She was a sister of the late Clarence and Cecile Ward, Eva Alexander and Lola Johnson. She had 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington. The funeral will be at noon in the funeral home chapel, followed by burial in Covington No. 1 Cemetery.

The family prefers donations to First United Methodist Church of Covington, 203 Jefferson Ave,. Covington, 70433, in lieu of flowers.

COVINGTON -- Funeral services for Audie Lee Ward Callihan, 99, will be at noon Tuesday, Sept. 4, in E.J. Fielding Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Covington No. 1 Cemetery.

Visitation is from 9 a.m.

Ms. Callihan died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001.

A native of Sandersville, Miss., she had lived in Covington for the past 79 years.

Survivors include two sons, Clarence L. Callihan of Lake Charles and Douglas E. Callihan of Richardson, Texas; two daughters, Mary Louise West of Hammond and Betty Ruth Esquinance of Mandeville; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church of Covington, 203 Jefferson Ave., Covington, LA 70433, the family said.
