AUDIS WOODROW HATTEN
OAK GROVE -- Audis Woodrow Hatten died Thursday, July 11, 2002. He was 83.
Mr. Hatten was born in Oak Grove. He retired from the Air Force as a major. A combat veteran of World War II, he served with the 9th Air Force as a bombardier in North Africa. After returning to Oak Grove, he was employed as a car salesman with Keller Ford Company and Boggs Ford Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Denton Hatten and Bertha Carol Hatten, and a sister, Luta Hatten.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette H. Hatten of Oak Grove; one daughter, Sandra Mills of Topeka, Kan.; two sisters, Eula ``Baby'' Cupit of Oak Grove and Zula Richey of Cole Spring, Texas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Cox Chapel-Oak Grove with the Rev. Jimbo Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Monday until the service.

Pallbearers will be his, grandsons Kevin McCarter, Kyle McCarter and James McCarter,1 and Todd Burnett, Ed Lester, Jim Lester and Rick Lester.
