Audra Emily Allen

HAYNESVILLE, LA - Funeral services for Audra Emily Allen will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 21, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Haynesville, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Old Town Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Bailey Mortuary on Sunday, February 2005 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Allen was born in Houston, Texas to Floyd Newton and Emma Bivens Evans, Sr. on March 18, 1915 and entered into rest on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Homer Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Allen was a member of the First Baptist Church, taught Sunday School for many years, a member of WMU (Women on Missions). She was also a member of the Haynesville Garden Club, Haynesville Study Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, Louisiana Retired Teacher Association. She taught school in Haynesville for 35 years. Mrs. Allen was a loving Mother and Grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Allen and her son, Tom Allen. Surviving relatives include her daughter, Julie Allen of Haynesville, LA; three grandsons, Mark Allen of Bryan, TX, Matt and Kevin Allen of Shreveport, LA; two sisters, Martha Bearden of Irving, TX and Carolyn Ginn of Calabasas, CA.

Pallbearers will be James Larry Knox, Joe Marlon Lee, Kelly Waller, Norman Murphy, Red Franklin, and Jimmy Langford.Bailey Mortuary
