JENA -- Services for Ava Bertice Hodges will be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Jena, with the Revs. Dominick Dicarlo and J. Roddy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
Hodges, 76, of Jena died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2002, [sic Jan. 24, 2002] in her residence.
She was a legal secretary.
Survivors include her husband, James A. Hodges Sr. of Jena; two sons, James A. Hodges Jr. of Pineville and Thomas Greer Hodges of Jena; one brother, Marion Greer of Trout; two sisters, Elma Greer and Cleo Steen, both of Jena; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Carl Smith, Jim Peters, Wayne McGuffee, Brad Hodges, Snuffy McCartney and Bubba Sherrill.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of services today in the funeral home.
