Mrs. Avice Mae (Garr) Kwasnik
Services celebrating the life of Avice Mae Garr Kwasnik, 88, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Ken Irby of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday, August 4, 2011 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Avice was born on September 18, 1922 in Homer, LA and passed away on August 2, 2011 in Shreveport, LA. She was a wonderful mother and an avid gardener. Avice was a church secretary from 1970-1989 for Haynes Avenue Baptist Church and First Southern Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Michael Kwasnik, her parents and 3 brothers.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Avice is her son Michael Kwasnik of Shreveport, LA and two cousins, Rosemary Baldridge and Sally Fouts Cox.
