Funeral service for Mrs. Avis Evelyn Cruse Hammond, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday July 20, 2008 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Rusty Grant officiating. Interment will follow at New Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hammond is preceded in death by her husband, James William Hammond; sister, Aline Cruse and her parents, Calvin and Louetta Cruse.
Survivors include daughter, Sharon Adams and husband Mark; grandchildren, Lori Manfull and husband Wesley, Tracy Alexander and husband Andy, Kevin Adams, and Josh Adams; and three great grandchildren, Will, Skylar, and Hunter Cash Alexander.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, 501 Travis Street, West Monroe, LA.
