Mr. Smith

SOMERVILLE -- Funeral services for Mr. Bailey W. Smith, 62, of 308 S. Brazos in Bryan, will be held here Monday at 2 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery here. Rev. Alice Williams and Rev. D.R. Vernon will officiate.

Mr. Smith died at St. Joseph Hospital Friday.

Mr. Smith, a resident of Bryan for the past seven years, was a charter member of the Apostolic Faith Church here and attended Faith Deliverance Center in Bryan.

A World War II veteran, Mr. Smith was a past Post Commander of the Marion Mays Post 455.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret L. Smith of Bryan; two step sons, John R. Guyton of Reno, Nev. and M.R. Guyton of Bryan. He is survived by four [step] daughters, Mrs. James W. (Shirley) Lisenbe and Mrs. L.C. (Barbara) Pendley both of Conroe and Mrs. Bert R. (Wanda) Moore and Mrs. Loviss (Delores) Milford of Bryan.

Other survivors include two brothers, Dewain Smith of Brenham and Grady Lee Smith of Somerville and two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Mae Everett and Mrs. Lillie Eldridge both of Bryan.

Mr. Smith was also survived by 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
