Barbara Duck Guillory

Funeral services for Barbara Duck Guillory will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Forest Hill Baptist Church in Forest Hill with interment in Butter's Cemetery in Forest Hill. Dr. Gerald Richardson and Rev. Robert McLane officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2005 at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville. Body will be at Forest Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 from 9 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Guillory, 74 years of age and a resident of Poland passed away on a Saturday, February 12, 2005 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

She is survived by her husband, A. P. Guillory of Poland; one son, Eric Duck and wife, Kimberly of Forest Hill; two step-daughters, Joan G.White and husband, Billy of Alexandria, and Donna Guillory of Poland; two grandchildren, Tessa Duck of Forest Hill and Alyssa D.McKay of Lecompte; two step-grandsons, Micha Gauthier and Joel Gauthier.

Mrs.Guillory was a graduate of Byrd High School in Shreveport, attended Northwestern and graduated from Louisiana College in the field of Education. She was employed at Lecompte and Rapides Banks. After graduating, she worked at Forest Hill, Oakdale and Poland Elementary Schools. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was a active in community civic organizations. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church for many years.

She is preceded in death by her previous husband Rodney Dale Duck; and her parents, Otto and Thelma Mizell Debate.

Pallbearers will be George Hawkins, Rodney Duck, Wayne McGilvary, Robert Gunter, Andy Andrews and Danny Guillory, and honorary pallbearer will be David Mizell.

Donations may be made to the Forest Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
