Barbara Pearson Barrett

Barbara Pearson Barrett, of Luling, La. [sic St. Charles Parish, La.], died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at her residence. Visitation will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home in Metairie, La. Funeral services will begin at 11:15. Graveside services will be held 4 p.m. in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Laurel.

Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her parents, Winton S. Pearson and Verna Morgan Pearson.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Lonnie O. Barrett; her sons and daughters-in-law, Lionel O. and Luz E. Barrett of Chicago and Richard Karl and Katherine A. Barrett of Luling, La.; her sisters, Charline Buckelew, Hilda O'Neal and Beverly Kendricks; her brother, Cecil ``Pete'' Pearson; her grandchildren, Lucinda L. Montgomery, Dreux N. Barrett, Kyle Agnelly and Allie Kerr; and her great-grandchild, Merrick [sic Merek] D. Montgomery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that donations be made to Goodwill Hospice, 1001 S. Broad St., Suite 115, New Orleans, LA 70125 (www.Goodwillhospice.org).
