Barbara Jean Boyett

Barbara Jean Boyett, 76, of Trout, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at her residence in Trout.

She was born June 17, 1934, in Trout to the union of Hardy C. and Viola Beavers Peavy.

Barbara was a lifetime member of Justiss Memorial United Methodist Church in Trout and co-chairman for the Relay for Life team at LaSalle General Hospital. She served as personnel manager at LaSalle General Hospital from the opening of the facility in 1970 until she retired. She had 55 years of service in the health care profession.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 13, at the Justiss Memorial United Methodist Church with the Revs. Johnnie Phillips, Paul Carroll and Danny Cole officiating.

Interment followed in the Belah Cemetery in the Belah-Fellowship Community under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Aaron Peavy, Ira Peavy, Welby Peavy and Leo Peavy.

Survivors include two daughters, Lana Francis and husband Tommy, and Lori Webb and husband Todd, all of Jena; and three grandchildren, Russ Francis, Ryan Francis and Trace Webb.

Pallbearers were Reggie Loe, David Roberts, Mike Peavy, Cliff Elliott, Terry Keene, and Charles David Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers were Clifford Elliott, Mark Russell, Dr. I. C. Turnley, Jr., Jerry Peavy, Earl Wayne Peary, Donnie Peavy, and Carl Peavy.
