B. E. Antrobus Dies in Arkansas

* Veteran Pastor Well Known in This City

Rev. Barney E. Antrobus, 83, widely known Baptist minister and evangelist, who had been conducting evangelistic services at the former Dobe Inn here for the past several months, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Allison Yeager, in Arkadelphia, Ark. He left here last week to make his home with his daughter. Word of his death was received by Walter Sheets.

Born in Illinois where he spent his boyhood, Rev. Antrobus was pastor of the First Baptist Church in this city for more than 20 years. He had also served as pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church here. After completing this service he moved to Texas where he resided until the death of his wife a few years ago. He returned to Crawfordsville last March after having made his home with the daughter in Arkadelphia since the death of his wife.

Rev. Antrobus received his education in Illinois where he took academic and college work. He was active in the ministry for almost half a century. In addition he also was active in civic and community affairs for many years.

Surviving, besides the daughter, are two grandsons and a sister, living in Hazen, Ark., near Arkadelphia.

Funeral services and burial will be in Arkadelphia Friday afternoon.
