B. S. Jones Rites Today

STANTON -- Funeral for Barry Samuel (Jack) Jones, 60, former Stanton grocery owner and hotel proprietor, was to be held at 3 p.m. today in the Church of Christ at Stanton with A. Elimore Johnson, minister, officiating. Burial was to follow in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Arrington-Gilbreath Funeral Home.

Mr. Jones died at 4:55 p.m. Sunday in a Big Spring hospital. He was a resident of Midland for the past two years.

Born Sept. 30, 1903 in Comanche County, Mr. Jones operated a hotel and grocery store for 28 years, prior to moving to Midland.

Surviving are the widow; his mother, Mrs. Otie Jones, Stanton; one son, Herbert Jones, Odessa; one daughter, Mrs. Belle Latimer, Amarillo; one brother, Casey Jones, Midland; six sisters, Mrs. Henry Stoeger, Big Spring, Mrs. Lester Durham, Mrs. Faye Rhodes and Mrs. M. H. Nance Jr., all of Stanton, Mrs. Loyd Wiggins, Lamesa, and Mrs. Ray Wright, Midland; and four grandchildren.
