Basil Glasco, 66, funeral rites held in chapel

Funeral services for Basil Truman Glaso, 66, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, in McCrary-Edwards-Cain Chapel with Rev. L. J. Yeager officiating. Burial was in Harmony Cemetery.

Mr. Glasco died Tuesday, August 15, in Winnsboro Hospital where he had been a patient for one day. He had made his home on Route One, Winnsboro.

He was born in Upshur County September 20, 1905, to P. M. Glasco and the former Martha Jane Moon. In 1925 he married the former Lucille Chitsey, who died July 6, 1938. He was a lifelong residen of the Winnsboro area and a retired carpenter. He was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Stanley Johnson, Winnsboro, and Mrs. J. M. Connally, Mesquite; two sisters, Mrs. Gary Chitsey and Mrs. Tom Wilcox, both of Winnsboro; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Tommie Reneau, Peck Reneau, R. T. Reneau, T. G. Joiner, Aubrey Chitsey and Austin Joyner.
