Basker S. Crum

FERRIDAY (Special) -- Funeral services for Basker S. Crum, 63, of Ferriday, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Ridgecrest Baptist Church with the Rev. L. L. Morris, the Rev. David Kirk and the Rev. C. A. Schaffner officiating.

Mr. Crum, a Ferriday resident since 1928, was a retired contractor and carpenter for the past four years.

He was a charter member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church here.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Natchez, under direction of Comer Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Crum, Ferriday; four daughters, Mrs. Isaac Enloe, New Orleans, Mrs. John L. Williams, and Mrs. R. H. Dinger, both of Ferriday, and Mrs. R. N. Hale, Houston, Tex.; three sons, Russell Crum, Monterey, W. L. Crum, and Ernest Crum, both of Ferriday; two sisters, Mrs. M. M. Tullus [sic Tullos], Alexandria and Mrs. Decie Sturgis, Natchez, Miss.; one brother, Henry L. Crum, Ferriday; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Sturgis, Leland Sturgis, Lonnie Crum, H. L. Crum, W. J. Tisdale and Billy Ray Smart.
