Beatrice Iles, 70, Retired Operator

Beatrice Lofton Iles, 70, of Pineville died at 1:25 p.m. Friday in Rapides General Hospital.

She was retired from South Central Bell after being a telephone opeator for 20 years and also was a retired switchboard operator at the Baptist Building.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pineville, and a member of the Rapides General Hospital auxiliary. She was a native of Ruby.

Services [sic survivors] include her husband, Ivy Iles of Pineville; six brothers, H. L. Lofton of Woodville, Texas, W. B. Lofton of Nederland, Texas, Harvey Lofton of Houston, Texas, Aaron Lofton and Fred Lofton, both of Pineville, and John H. Lofton of Groves, Texas; four sisters, Minnie Smith of Pineville, Mrs. J. W. Williams of Tioga, Mrs. Emmett Dammon of Kountze, Texas, and Mrs. Earl Semple of Longview, Texas; and her mother, Ollie Corley Lofton of Pineville.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church, Pineville, with the Rev. Roger Richards officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
