Funerals

Services for Mrs. Lola Beatrice Brady of North Ogden, who died Wednesday, were held on Friday afternoon in the North Ogden ward chapel. The stand and railing were appropriately draped. The flowers were borne by officers and members of the Relief society. Bishop's Counselor John A. Woodfield conducted the services and the music was furnished by a mixed quartet composed of Charles W. Ellis, Clarence M. Barker, Martha Holmes and Lottie Randall, singing “Come, Let Us Anew” with accompaniment on the organ; a solo, “My Mother Dear,” by Una Randall; a duet, “Hope Beyond,” by Charles W. Ellis. Invocation was offered by Hyrum E. Judkins and benediction by James Storey. Remarks were made by David E. Randall, George E. Brown and Frederick Barker. Interment was made in the North Ogden cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Frederick Barker.

Mrs. Brady was a daughter of Jacob Perry and Donna McCarty Perry, and was born on December 18, 1883, at Montrose, Jasper county, Miss. She became the wife of Andrew Lee Brady and, with her husband, was baptized into the L. D. S. church. Six children were born to them: Ira Lee, Honor V., Burl, Harvey, Jewel and James. All but two, Burl and Harvey, are surviving, also four grandchildren.

Soon after the birth of the last named, the father was accidentally killed as foreman of a logging camp, May 6, 1916. The mother at once set about the task of emigrating to Utah with five children, and in less than six months was located in North Ogden with her family.
