Services Held For Redford [sic Bedford] S. Waddell
CRYSTAL SPRINGS -- Services for Bedford Stanton Waddell, 82, were held Tuesday from Baldwin Chapel, with burial in the Crystal Springs cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the men's Bible class of the Methodist Church.
Waddell died at Pinecrest Guest Home in Hazlehurst Sunday evening following a long illness. He was a retired merchant and teacher, and served as mayor of Crystal Springs for two terms. He was also a state legislator for 16 years.
Waddell was an appraiser for FHA projects, Mason, and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a native of Celina, Tenn., but had lived in Copiah County for many years.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Kathy Lee McCarty Waddell; one son Harold Waddell of Crystal Springs; two brothers, D. C. Waddell of Hilham, Tenn., and W. F. Waddell of Celing, Tenn.; and several nephews and nieces.
