Belle Emmons Carpenter
Services for Belle Emmons Carpenter will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday. January 26, 2006 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Griffin Hills Cemetery in Lone Pine. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Carpenter, age 93, of Lone Pine, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leroy Carpenter.
Survivors include her two sons, Hal Carpenter of Chatham and Ronnie Carpenter of West Monroe; one daughter, Regina Gay Lindsly of Bunkie; two brothers. Wallace Emmons and Daniel Emmons; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
