Mrs. Belle Johnson

Funeral services for Mrs. Belle Johnson, 73, were held Monday, Dec. 9th, at 3:00 p.m. in the Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria. Burial was in the Restwood Memorial Cemetery in Lake Jackson with Baker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson, born in Louisiana, but was a native of Liberty for 30 yrs. before moving to Brazoria. She died Sunday in the Woodlake Nursing Home in Clute.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Carl Schmigel of Galveston, Mrs. Georgia Picard of Damon, Mrs. Carl Montgomery of Brazoria, Mrs. Alf Flowers of Saratoga and Mrs. Cecil Purswell of Channelview, two sons George Kellogg Sr. of Hardin and Skeet Monroe Johnson of Pasadena, two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Scott of Dayton, Mrs. Earl Brandon of Hardin, two brothers, Jack Smith of Alexandria, La. and Arthur Smith of Liberty. She had 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were son-in-laws.
