Funeral Rites Held Tuesday Afternoon For B. F. Richey

Funeral rites for B. F. Ritchie were held Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in the Kickapoo Baptist Church. Rev. R. W. Blackmon, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Fairview cemetery under direction of Clift Funeral Home.

Mr. Ritchie died in the Bronte Hospital Monday, July 22, at 4:30 a.m. after a long illness. He had only been hospitalized a few days, however. He and his wife moved to Bronte about three weeks prior to his death.

He was born February 10, 1886, and was seventy-one years old at the time of his death.

A member of the Baptist Church he married Mrs. Benham April 18, 1933, in Lovington, New Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, several step-children, several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Pall bearers were Francis Seltz, Leslie Lammers, Garland Spencer, Noah Pruitt, Jr., Hollis Ensor and Royce Dean Clark.
