Ben T. Warner, SR

BOSSIER CITY, LA- Ben T. Warner, Sr., age 78, passed away peacefully at his life long family home, on Friday, September 5, 2003. Mr. Warner spent a wonderful last day on this earth with his five adult children, whom he loved with all his heart. Services to remember Mr. Warner's life will be held on Monday, September 8 , 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath's Boossier Chapel. Officiating will be Mr. Warner's Pastor and close personal friend, Brother C.I. Johnson, assigned by by Brother Mike McGirt.

Interment will be at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 7, 2003 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Ben was a retired Produce Manager for Weingartens. He also loved to fish with his fishing partner, Calvin Joyner, play cards, and watch sports, especially football.

Ben was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Mary Avanell Warner and his mother, Maggie Warner.

Left with very special and loving memories of their Dad, are his five children, Ben Warner, Jr. and Travis Warner of Bossier City, LA and Gary Warner of Houston, TX, daughters, Margaret Haymaker-Paker and husband Jim, of Shreveport, LA and Debbie Barber of Atlanta, GA. and son, also survived by sister, Susie Esley of Stockton, CA, “PawPaw” Warner had seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. No doubt he will be deeply missed.

Pallbearers will be Matt Bryan, Calvin Joyner, Jr, Mike Joyner, Jim Parker, Randy Smith, Brain Nix, Roger Johnson and Randy Warner. Honorary Pallbearers are Johnny Santoro and Calvin Joyner, Sr.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. John Chandler and Nurses at four West step down at Willis Knighton Bossier for their excellent and kind care of Mr. Warner over the last few weeks.
