Mrs. Bendetta Brooks bridged the years, ninety-six of them, with a birthday party in her home in Caldwell parish on June 20. She is one of the oldest residents of this parish and the celebration of her birthday was of more than passing interest. Friends from far and near wished the celebrant “happy birthday.” Her three children, Shadric Brooks, Miss Della Brooks and Mrs. C. C. Johnson were hostesses on this gala occasion.
