BENJAMIN ERSKINE
COLUMBIA, Oct. 26 (Special) -- Funeral services for Benjamin Erskine, 84, of Columbia who died in a Monroe hospital Thursday, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the First Methodist Church of Columbia, with Rev. Carl Barham officiating.
Interment under the direction of Riser and Sons Funeral Home will follow in the Columbia cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, General G. B. Erskine of Washington, D.C., and Sheriff George E. Erskine of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Jeff W. Caldwell of West Monroe, and Mrs. Bobbie Ruth Herndon of Silver City, New Mex., three brothers, George Erskine of Eros, Monroe Erskine of Sikes, and Henry Erskine of Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Joel Hatten of West Monroe, and Mrs. Della Mills of Oak Grove; and a number of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Guy Gates, Clark Hester, Edgar Duke, C. C. Minard, C. R. Godfrey, C. C. Dunn, and E. D. Coats.
