Benjamin E. Ford

JONESVILLE -- Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday for Benjamin E. Ford, 82, of Jonesville, who died Tuesday at Catahoula Parish Hospital after a long illness.

The Rev. W. D. Thompson will officiate, assisted by the Rev. L. T. Mayor St., at Good Road Pentecostal Church with burial in Heard Cemetery under direction of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday.

A life-long resident of Jonesville, Mr. Ford was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Irene J. Ford; four sons, Albert E. Ford, Alvin F. Ford, Wonnie A. Ford and Benjamin E. Ford Jr.; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Bass, Mrs. Audie Brown and Mrs. Velma Lea Jones; two brothers, Theodore R. Ford and E. E. Ford, all of Jonesville; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Harris of Jonesville, and Mrs. Effie Smith of Newellton; 36 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
