Benjamin Hoover Ellzey
(February 24, 1929 - June 20, 2008)

Benjamin Hoover Ellzey Funeral services for Mr. Benjamin Hoover Ellzey will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2008 in the Rush Chapel, Oakdale -- Downtown location with Reverend Larry Gandy officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Ellzey, 79, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Friday, June 20, 2008 in his residence. He was joined in passing by his wife, Gretta Ellzey.

He was preceded in death by parents, Benjamin Franklin and Lola Ellzey.

Those left to cherish his memory include three sons, Larry Ellzey and his wife, Suzanne of Crosby, Texas, Joey Mattock and his wife, Darlene of Gillis and John Lee Brown and his wife, Jeanette of Everett, Washington; ten grandchildren, Ashlie Firmin, Candace Beltran, Christina Markley, Alaina Brown, Kaitlyn Brown, Jennifer Hanson, Christopher Ellzey, Michael Ellzey, Kari Ellzey and Mark Ellzey and five great grandchildren, Blake Hanson, Bianca Hanson, Grace Firmin, Carson Soileau and Barrett Ortego.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale -- Downtown location on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Thursday June 26, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.
