Mr. B. O. Amerson Dies At Columbus Friday Morning

Formal Services Held At Reynolds Baptist Church Saturday Morning 11 O'clock.

Reynolds and Taylor county friends of Mr. Benjamine Oscar Amerson were saddened by the announcement of his death which occurred Friday last, 8 a.m. at Columbus where he had made his home for the past four years. His health had been not so good for the past nine months or longer following a mild stroke. For many years prior to four years ago when he retired from active service, Mr. Amerson was faithful and most highly esteemed employee of the Georgia Power Co. in Reynolds. He was born in Taylor county, July 4, 1874. Mr. Amerson retained his membership in the Reynolds Baptist church while making his home in Columbus. Of fraternal organizations he was a member of the W. O. W.

Funeral services were held at the Reynolds Baptist church Saturday morning, 11 o'clock, followed by concluding service and interment in the family lot, Mt. Olive cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. H. T. Jalks, assisted by Elder John Mangham, God[d]ard Funeral Home in charge of arrangement with the following acting as pallbearers: Felton Hartley, Odell Hartley, C. B. Hicks, Joe Parks, R. H. Parks and Rev. L. B. Strickland.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Thadius Sizemore Amerson; and three children, Mrs. Louise Stewart, Reynolds, Mrs. Benton Pierce, iMami [sic Miami], Fla., and Thomas Byrd, Columbus.
