Funeral services celebrating the life of Bennie L. Davis will be held in the East Jena Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Revs. Johnnie Phillips and Curtis Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Hair Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers of Jena.
Ms. Davis, age 79, of Jena, passed away from this life on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at the LaSalle General Hospital in Jena.
She was a bus driver for the LADD Center, a member of the Gospel Harmonettes and a member of East Jena Baptist Church.
Surviving family members include her daughter, Barbara Gail Phillips of Houston, Texas and Linda Darlene Davis of Defuniak Springs, Florida; son, Richard Wayne Davis of Jena; sister, Norene Rabb of Ruston; five grandchildren, John Scott Phillips, Jackie Johnson, Gregory Davis, Teri Sebastian and Tena Chmielwski; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Hixson Brothers, Jena Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
