Bennis G. Forman

Bennis G. ``Roundman'' Forman, 78, a longtime resident of the Homochitto community near Meadville, died Nov. 12, 2006, at Franklin County Hospital in Meadville.

Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at Royal Chapel Methodist-Protestant Church, four miles north of the Coles community. The Rev. Max Foreman and the Rev. Burnette Carraway officiated. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Gloster under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.

Mr. Forman was born March 5, 1928, in Amite County, to Burly and Trudie Bass Forman.

He retired as a boiler room operator with International Paper Co. in Natchez after 37 years of service. He was a member of Royal Chapel Methodist-Protestant Church.

Mr. Forman was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bryant Forman.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Frankie Forman of the Homochitto community; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bennis Forman Jr. and Beverly, and Mickey Forman and Tracie, all of Terry, and Jerry Forman of the Homochitto community; a daughter and son-in-law, Janis and Nicky Shelton of Gloster; two brothers, Billy and Blue Forman, both of Gloster; four sisters, Bonelle Bohall of Ennis, Texas, Nadine Arnold of Natchez, and Mary Borel and Betty Campbell, both of Bude; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
