Bertha Dunn Butler
HOUSTON, TEXAS - Mrs. Bertha Dunn Butler, 90, died Tuesday, December 6, 1988, in Houston. She was a resident of Houston since 1971 and a former longtime resident of Shreveport, La. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shreveport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Butler, and a son, Harris D. Butler.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Marian P. Butler, of Houston, two grandsons, Stephen Butler, of Houston and Harris Butler, III, of Richmond, Va.; a great-grandson, Travis Butler of Richmond, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
A chapel service will be held for Mrs. Butler Saturday at 1 p.m. at Osborn Funeral Home, 3631 Southern Ave. The burial will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, La. Officiating will be the Rev. Carl Rhoads, of the First United Methodist Church of Shreveport.
