Bertha Lee Roberts Lumpkin
A lifetime resident of Amite County, Miss., she died Friday, July 30, 2010, at Liberty Community Living Center.
She was 95, born March 18, 1915, to Andrew and Blanche Wilkinson Roberts. She was a retired postal clerk and of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Joe Lumpkin and wife Joan, of Gloster, Miss., and George Terry Lumpkin and wife Rosa, of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Betty Ann Barnes, of Zachary, Gene Anders and wife Joann, of Liberty, Miss., Andy Lumpkin and wife Casey, of Corsicana, Texas, Lisa Lumpkin, of Gloster, and Bill Lumpkin and wife Stephanie, of Shreveport; eight great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by a brother, Donald Ray Roberts and wife Ann, of Batesville, Miss.; a daughter-in-law, Betty Martin, of Baker; and a sister-in-law, Margie Dean Kinabrew and husband Jim, of Liberty.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Noel Lumpkin; a son, John Eugene ``Pete'' Anders; two brothers, Bonnie and Webb Roberts; and a sister, Lottie Terrell.
Visitation at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty was on Friday, July 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home chapel Saturday, July 31, from 10 a.m. until time of religious services at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ernest Whittington and the Rev. Diane Woodall. Interment in Liberty Cemetery in Liberty.
Pallbearers will be Andy Lumpkin, Bill Lumpkin, Brian Anders, Brannon Anders, Jeremy Rape and Brad Reid.
