Funeral services for Bertha Lucille Thames, 90 of Vidalia, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home in Vidalia on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 11 AM with Bro. Bill McCullin officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Bertha Thames was born on April 30, 1920 in Wisner, La and passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Promise Hospital in Vidalia. She was a resident of Vidalia, a Homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church Of Vidalia.
She was preceded in death by:
Husband-James A. Thames
Father-Napolean Taylor
Mother-Jane Byrnes Gilmore
Survivors include:
Son-Bubba Hugh Thames and his wife Carolyn of Natchez, MS
Daughter-Karen Kay Watson of Vidalia, LA
Daughter-Kim Taylor Weatherford and her husband Stephen of Baton Rouge, LA
Sister-Edith Holley of Slidell, LA
She was also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The Pallbearers will be -Chris Thames, Dean Coldiron, Joe Dominguez, John Cowan, Stephen Weatherford and Terry Thames.
