COLUMBIA -- Bertha M. Rolen Bratton, a homemaker, died Saturday. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, west of Clarks.

Services for Bertha M. Rolen Bratton, age 98 of Columbia will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Wesley Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery west of Clarks.
Mrs. Bratton was born on March 8, 1909 in Winn Parish to the union of Henry and Jane Emmons Rolen and died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following an extended illness.
She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in West Monroe until she could no longer attend due to health problems. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: SFC US Army Retired Jessie C. Bratton, her son: Sidney E. Bratton, four [sic five] brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Ellis C. and Betty Bratton of Columbia, Jim and Sue Bratton of Tallahassee, Florida, her daughter-in-law: Juanita Bratton of Millsap, Texas, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Childress, Paul Cox, Gary Gentry, Madison Green, Jesse Hall and Clark Poole.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia.
