Holley

Funeral services for Bertie Herman Holley, 71, of Commerce were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in Jones Memorial Chapel. Rev. William S. Montague officiated with interment following at Mount Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Holley died Sunday Nov. 19 at Commerce Medical and Surgical Hospital. He was a retired employe of Harper Lumber Co.

Born May 24, 1901 in Hopkins County, he was a son of Will and Allie Britt Holley. He married the former Miss Lottie Ann Reynolds Nov. 22, 1934 in Commerce.

He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Commerce I.O.O.F. Lodge.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Rutherford of New Braunfels; one son, Larry Holley of Commerce; his mother; four gandchildren [sic grandchildren]; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby House of Universal City and Mrs. Verna Baber of Belton; and one brother, I.E. Holley of Greenville.

Pallbearers were W.E. Holley, Reece Hall, Ward Davis, Randy Osborn, Estes Miller and Eugene Miller.
